Michigan Friends, part 3

Tuesday, June 8th was the designated yachting day...and the weather better cooperate. It did in the morning...sunny, blue skies and then by noon when we were ready to yacht, it was cloudy. Oh well!

Mary J is surveying the situation with her blankie in hand!

Captain Mike (or is it Major Mike..inside joke) is at the wheel and is going to tour us around South and North Leelanau Lakes.

These pics are from some of the south and north lakes and the narrows in between. I know they are not in order...(but you guys won't know)!

A little boy toy on the beach!

Bridge close to Fishtown.

Lawn art!

I think this is in the Narrows (between the two lakes) but it is suppose to depict the really blue water. Actually all of the water that we saw on these lakes and Lake Michigan was crystal clear....close to the St. Thomas blue. We were very surprised.

This picture must be significant but this writer has no clue!

By the end of our lake yachting, it was beginning to get rather chilly and we just knew that the rain would be coming. Buzz kept us warm.

We did manage to see this mother (or father) with their babes! Tis the season!
So we had another good sightseeing day...a little on the edge for yachting temps, as maybe we saw 6 boats the entire day..but it was the fine company we kept. We ended the day with a great pot luck at Bob and Esthers. Guess what? By dinner time it was pouring and we had to eat inside.
