November 2010 PIR NASCAR

Time for another NASCAR race but this one didn't require much traveling. For the last ten days we have been in the Sante Fe RV Park in Apache Junction. This is the park that our Michigan friends are working as the Assistant Managers. It's a smaller park than Meridian but larger spaces and great neighbors! Had a great time with the Carpenters but needed to leave the neighborhood to get with the rednecks out at Zoomtown USA.

Met up with nephew Aaron and family, Greg and family, friend Tom and his pop-up (hidden in the pic) and made a large camping spot. We had all the room we wanted!

Logan and his giant jawbreaker that he "just had to have"!

Guess who has to copy his big brother?

Dev just enjoying playing in the dirt by himself.

A cute little set up that was parked near us.

This is what Log has been trying to get to.

One hour before the big race on Sunday. Perfect weather all weekend.

See Tony in that car?

Here comes the American flag. They were 4 jumpers and....

they landed on the target...right in front of us.

Fly over! I'm surprised I got this pic. Usually I miss them.

Well, these two finally show up. Stands are filling up.

There goes the stage.

Allmendinger!

Tony the man!

An early wreck that happened wright in front of us with Keselowski.

Brad walking to the ambulance.

Crew lined up to fill the Sunoco fuel cans.

We were rooting for Hamlin but he had fuel calculation issues and had to pit, after leading much of the race. Carl Edwards ended up winning but it was a pretty uneventful race...lots of those boring left turns!
We did have several visitors in our camp...Debbie and Pat from the elite infield crowd and our old neighbor, Bill. Jim's brother, Chris, flew in from Idaho for the race. Good to see everyone.
Next race- February, instead of the usual April schedule. Better get those tickets bought!
