November 2011 Phoenix NASCAR festivities

The group gathered on Thursday, Nov 10 for the semi-annual NASCAR race in the desert. This time there were more rigs joining the camp, as we were going to have a wedding. Imagine that!

Eight rigs took over alot of space but we needed alot of space for the 100 wedding guests.

Grandpa and Dev getting ready for a little spin.

Craft items were displayed but no sales.

Goodyear poster up for all to see.

Camp is getting a little cluttered but Toni doesn't care.

Decorating time. Scott holding his daughter up so she can attach the lanterns to the rope lights.

Professional photographers getting the overall picture of the festivities.

The fancy candy bar...for all to fill the little boxes with their favorite candies.

Gift table with the rental RV advertisement in the background.

Bubbles, anyone?

A little memento.

Logan getting a good seat early.

Ornery looking Dev being told to SIT. However, he was not there long.

Dave and Bill are getting ready to partake in this blessed event.

The sun was setting about the time the wedding was starting.

Here comes the bride....either she was really walking fast or I was a little shaky.

The first kiss.

Cupcake wedding cake.

The bride.

The Phoenix raceway chaplain is on the right. He did a great job. After all, he's had 50 weddings at PIR. But today was special, as it was 11-11-11.

There was even a band.

I think this was a full moon. What a great day. Everything went off without a hitch. The redneck wedding in the NASCAR camp was an experience. Everyone had a great time. I got to buy a new Tony shirt for the celebration. For good measure, also bought a new Danica #10 shirt.

Our friend Dave resting his eyes.

Logan wore Timmy's hat to the race on Sunday. It was a great race. Sell out crowd, which hasn't been the case for several years. Tony is only a few points behind Carl Edwards so should be a fantastic year end finish in Homestead. Can't wait! Stay tuned for the results.
